Türk Telekom defeated at home

In the 9th week of the BKT EuroCup Group B, Türk Telekom lost 80-71 to Poland's Slask on their home court.

While both teams employed tight defense in the first quarter of the match, the first 4 minutes passed with Slask leading 5-0. Türk Telekom struggled to score in the first period, while Slask continued their effective play to finish the first period ahead 19-7.

In the second period, both teams traded baskets, and the 13th minute passed with Slask leading 28-14. Slask extended the lead to 19 points (16-35) in the 15th minute with high-percentage shooting and effective play in the paint. After this point, Türk Telekom went on a 6-0 run, narrowing the gap to 13 points (22-35) in the 17th minute. Slask went into the locker room with a 10-point lead at 39-29.

Starting the third quarter well, Slask extended the lead to 16 points (36-52) in the 25th minute. Towards the end of the period, Türk Telekom went on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 12 points (48-60). The visiting team finished the third period leading 61-48.

Starting the final period well, Türk Telekom narrowed the gap to 9 points (57-66) with points from the paint and three-point shots. Continuing their effective play, Türk Telekom reduced the lead to 3 points (63-66) with baskets from Enoch, Wallace, and McDuffie. After this point, Slask applied tight defense to widen the gap again and won the match by 9 points, 80-71.

With this result, Türk Telekom suffered their 8th defeat, while Slask secured their first victory in the competition.
