Turkey-Ukraine match on TRT Spor and S Sport: 'Filenin Efeleri' face a critical test in VNL

The Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team will play their second match of the third week of the 2026 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League against Ukraine. Having started the Belgrade leg by defeating the hosts, Serbia, 3-0, the 'Filenin Efeleri' (Volleyball Knights) will look to gain an advantage in their quest for the finals during the match in Belgrade.

The Turkey vs. Ukraine match will be played on Friday, July 17, at 17:30 at the Belgrade Arena. The match will be broadcast live on TRT Spor and S Sport. The game can also be followed via the digital platforms of the broadcasting organizations.

The crescent-and-star team aims to reach the finals for the first time in their history by finishing in the top seven of the VNL standings. For this reason, the Ukraine match stands out as one of the fixtures that will significantly impact the race for the quarterfinals.

Ukraine also started the third week with a victory over Iran and is fighting to maintain its position in the upper ranks. On the Turkish side, the status of Bedirhan Bülbül, who could not play in the Serbia match due to shoulder pain, will be clarified at match time.

The 'Filenin Efeleri' squad for the Belgrade leg includes Murat Yenipazar, Hilmi Şahin, and Ömercan Burak Karahan as setters. Adis Lagumdzija, Berk Dilmenler, and Kaan Gürbüz are serving in the opposite hitter position.

The outside hitters in the squad consist of Efe Bayram, Gökçen Yüksel, Cafer Kirkit, and Mirza Lagumdzija.
