TVF President calls Eda Erdem 'a man among men'; Ali Koç could not hide his surprise

Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Akif Üstündağ referred to Fenerbahçe volleyball player and national team captain Eda Erdem, whose statue was unveiled on March 8 International Women's Day, as 'a captain among captains, a man among men.'

Fenerbahçe's iconic figure and National Women's Volleyball Team captain Eda Erdem's statue unveiling ceremony was held.

During the ceremony, the remarks made by Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Akif Üstündağ regarding Erdem drew attention.

While Üstündağ said of Erdem, "A captain among captains, a man among men," Eda Erdem smiled. Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç, meanwhile, could not hide his surprise.

WHERE IS EDA ERDEM'S STATUE?

The statue of 36-year-old national volleyball player Eda Erdem, who has played for Fenerbahçe for 15 years, was erected next to the statues of Lefter, Can Bartu, and Alex at the entrance of Yoğurtçu Park, located near Ülker Stadium.

The statue was unveiled with a ceremony held in front of the protocol entrance of the Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex.
