Umut Bozok crisis at Trabzonspor: High salary problem

According to a report by the local Trabzon newspaper Taka Gazetesi, the experienced player's high salary expectations caused the negotiations with Konyaspor and Adana Demirspor to end unsuccessfully.

The report noted that the 27-year-old footballer, who is set to earn 31.5 million TL this season and 36.75 million TL next season according to his contract with Trabzonspor, requested an annual salary of 33 million TL from both clubs he was in talks with, but that Konyaspor and Adana Demirspor found the fee to be too high.

It was stated that Umut Bozok's agent, who is struggling to find the desired offer especially in Turkey due to his high salary demands, is in contact with some teams from Europe.

The national footballer, who performed with 10 goals and 3 assists in 37 matches in his first season at Trabzonspor, has only been able to play for 262 minutes in 4 matches this season. Umut Bozok, whose current market value has dropped to 2.4 million Euros, has also played once for the A National Team.
