Umut Meraş has announced his departure from Beşiktaş. In a farewell message, Umut Meraş stated, "I offer my heartfelt thanks with the deepest sincerity to the great Beşiktaş fans who showed me their love every moment I was a member of this community and supported me through my good and bad days."

In his statement, the 28-year-old player said, "I worked very hard to do my best in every match I found the opportunity to play in order to represent Beşiktaş, with whom we won two trophies together over three seasons, in the best way possible. I always fought for Beşiktaş without compromising my character, knowing the weight of the place I was in."
Umut Meraş also added, "I would like to thank our president and management, our technical team, my valuable teammates, and our esteemed club staff for their efforts.
