In his statement, TBF President Ersan Ercan stated that they have installed 2 cameras and one VAR screen at every billiards table located at the TBF's facility in Gölbaşı, Ankara.

Noting that they will begin the VAR application with the 3rd stage matches of the 3-Cushion Billiards Turkish Championship, Ercan said, "We will conduct test runs of VAR in all tournaments we hold in November and December. By the end of the year, after seeing all the details of the system and any unforeseen shortcomings, and after fully establishing the rules, we will implement this system, which we believe will be an example to the world, in the best possible way as of 2024. We believe that thanks to this system, controversial positions during matches will be resolved to a very large extent."

Regarding the method of VAR implementation, Ercan shared the following information: "Each athlete will have the right to challenge and go to VAR once during a match. If the athlete is proven right in their challenge, this right will continue. The match referee has the right to go to VAR whenever they deem it necessary. Only the referee will be able to go to the VAR screen and will make their decision by evaluating the position with the assistant referee present there."
