Venezuelan President Maduro: "I believe Maradona was murdered"

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, appearing as a guest on the "Maduro Podcast" at the Monumental Stadium in the capital Caracas, made evaluations regarding the current agenda. Maduro made striking statements about the death of the world-famous footballer Diego Armando Maradona, who passed away in 2020.

Claiming that everything was planned for "fascism" to come to power in Argentina, Maduro said, "I have a theory about his death; I believe Maradona was murdered. I spoke to him on the occasion of his 60th birthday, one day before his death, and I said, 'Diego, come to Venezuela, we will take care of you here.'"

Expressing that he had shared his concerns about Maradona's life with him, Maduro stated, "In a previous conversation, I told him, 'Take care of yourself, Diego. Look, there are very bad people; because you are the voice of the people who rebel against injustice, the fascists will not leave you alone. You said things in Argentina that no one else dared to say.'"

Recalling the assassination attempt against former Argentine President Cristina Kirchner, Maduro said, "They organized operations aimed at ending Argentina's symbols. First, they finished off Diego, I am sure of it. Then they wanted to end Cristina; they were going to kill her on live television."

Criticizing Argentine President Javier Milei, Maduro said, "I cannot help but say one thing: fascism and Zionism have come to power in Argentina with Milei. Milei says, 'I will do everything to ensure that Venezuela is subjected to sanctions, besieged, and defeated.' I am calling out to him from here: 'How many are there like you?'"

President Maduro stated that he believes the truth about Maradona will one day be revealed and that he is certain fascism will be defeated in Argentina once again.

MARADONA'S DEATH

The world-famous legendary footballer Maradona passed away on November 25, 2020, in the city of Tigre, in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina, due to heart failure and pulmonary edema.

An investigation was launched following the sudden and suspicious death of Maradona, who had undergone brain surgery in November 2020 and was being kept under observation at home.
