Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen answered questions from the press before training at the Florya Metin Oktay Facilities for Galatasaray, who will face Antalyaspor away in the 9th week of the Trendyol Süper League.

Stating that coming to Galatasaray is a privilege for him, Osimhen said, "I don't believe there is any other place where I would enjoy myself more. Drogba also played here; he is one of my heroes. I want to thank the Galatasaray fans every time I remember how they welcomed me."

Our president, our coach, our technical staff, and my teammates welcomed me very well. I felt that I was at a very big club, and I am ready to do everything I can for this club," he said.

"WE ARE VERY HAPPY IN ISTANBUL WITH MY FAMILY AND MY DAUGHTER"

When asked about the transfer process, the 25-year-old footballer replied, "When the first talks about my transfer took place, I was already unhappy at my club; I was thinking about leaving and going elsewhere after 3-4 months. My wishes regarding this had not yet been realized."

At that time, I spoke with our coach, and he convinced me very well. What he said as a father, as a coach, and as a person deeply affected me. I also knew what a high-quality team with big goals this was. Playing with these players and achieving success here was convincing for me.

I think I was easily convinced. When I came here, I saw how big the club and the fans were. I think it was the right decision. We are very happy in Istanbul with my family and my daughter. I will do everything I can for the team, and I believe we will achieve significant success," he replied.

"THE TEAM'S SUCCESS IS MY TOP PRIORITY"

Regarding the race for the top scorer title in the Trendyol Süper Lig, Victor Osimhen said the following:

"I think there are very good strikers in the league. I also consider myself one of the good strikers. But I never put myself ahead of the team; I came here to support the team, and the team's success is what matters. Icardi is also a very great player and a great striker with what he has brought to football and what he has done at Galatasaray. We have shown on the pitch how well we play together. The top scorer title is not my priority; the team is the most important thing. I need to help the team with my goals, my assists, and in both attack and defense. Goals are important, of course, as we win matches by scoring, but the team's success is my primary priority rather than the top scorer title."

"I WILL BE IN THE TEAM ACCORDING TO THE DECISION MY COACH MAKES"

Speaking about the latest status of his injury, the Nigerian footballer concluded his words by saying, "I left the game in the first half of the Kasımpaşa match as a precaution. Our club doctor was very helpful and stayed by my side constantly. I will start training with the team today. I estimate that I will be integrated into the team starting tomorrow. I will be in the team for the weekend match depending on the decision my coach makes. I am looking forward to joining the team."
