As they prepare to host Muğlaspor in the 3rd week of the Trendyol 1st League, Bodrum FK club president Taner Ankara shared his assessments regarding transfer efforts and seasonal goals. Ankara stated that the green-and-white team is in contact with 7-8 players and that they plan to add 3 or 4 of these names to the squad.

Bodrum FK continues its preparations for the Muğla derby at the Yalıçiftlik İsmail Altındağ Facilities under the management of coach Burhan Eşer. Speaking to members of the press before the training session, Ankara expressed that the team has a young squad structure and that they need time for the new players to adapt.

Stating that they started the season in line with their expectations, Ankara recalled that they made 9 transfers during the summer period and that players such as Seferi, Dino Hotic, and Gökdeniz have departed. Noting that they added Loshaj to the midfield, Ankara said they have built a young team with players from the U21 and youth national team levels.

EMPHASIS ON BUDGET IN TRANSFERS

Reminding that the transfer window remains open until September 3, Ankara stated that negotiations are ongoing but that they do not find it appropriate to announce names before an agreement is reached. Ankara said, "There are 7-8 players we are in talks with. Hopefully, we will add 3 or 4 of them to our team."

Drawing attention to the club's financial structure, Ankara emphasized the importance of sustainable budget management. Stating that their budget was 23 million Euros when they were relegated from the Süper Lig two years ago, Ankara noted that this season's budget is at the 15 million Euro level. Ankara expressed that they are trying to move the budget to a more sustainable point through player sales.

Calling for patience from the fans, Ankara asked for support for the team, noting that young players can be affected by criticism. Recalling that the team rose to the semi-finals following the criticism received during the mid-season break last year, Ankara noted that performance will reach a better level once the adaptation process is completed.

Stating that the team showed its potential in the final part of the Istanbulspor match, Ankara said that the search for reinforcements for missing areas continues. The Bodrum FK President used the expression, "We will definitely complete our 1-2 missing spots."

Touching upon the Muğlaspor match, Ankara described their opponent as a "brother club." Wishing for the derby to be a match with high competitive power and entertainment value, Ankara said, "May the best team win."

Speaking about their seasonal goals, Ankara stated that Bodrum FK maintains its ambition. Ankara said that by managing the club under the right conditions, they aim to remain in the 1st League this season, play in the play-offs, and if possible, return to the Süper Lig.
