Fatih Portakal to Ali Koç: 'Everyone sits in the chair and sticks to it. You are a failure, my brother!'

Ali Koç, who was elected Fenerbahçe President in 2018 by a large margin against Aziz Yıldırım, has been unable to end the Yellow-Navy Blues' championship drought in the 7 years that have passed.

Ali Koç, who could only bring the Turkish Cup to Fenerbahçe during his presidency (the Jorge Jesus era), announced that he would go to a general assembly in September following a signature campaign launched by congress members for an extraordinary election.

While the empty stands drew attention during the match Fenerbahçe played against Eyüpspor, a large portion of those who came to the match invited Ali Koç to resign. Despite the calls for resignation, Koç will be a candidate in the congress planned for September.

A reaction to Ali Koç, who has become the target of criticism in the Yellow-Navy community, also came from journalist Fatih Portakal.

Speaking on the Sözcü TV Main News Bulletin, Portakal called on Ali Koç to resign.

Portakal stated the following:

“Mr. Ali, look, I imagine that if you showed such management and displayed this performance in your family's company, you probably wouldn't be kept at Koç Holding.”

Fenerbahçe is a bigger brand than Koç Holding! You may have done a lot for this club. But there is a fan base waiting for a championship in football. And you haven't been able to achieve this for years.
