In the opening match of the 2nd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Erzurumspor FK and Galatasaray faced off at the Kazım Karabekir Stadium. The first half of the match ended with a 3-0 lead for the yellow-red team.

Galatasaray took the lead in the 12th minute through Roland Sallai, who sent the ball into the net after the goalkeeper failed to clear a corner kick taken by Gabriel Sara from the left wing. The yellow-reds extended the lead to two in the 20th minute; Victor Osimhen, who found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper following a cross from Sara, passed the ball to Yunus Akgün, who then sent it into the empty net.

In the final moments of the first half, Osimhen capitalized on a mistake by Erzurumspor FK goalkeeper Matija Orbanic and sent the ball into the empty net in the 45th minute, bringing the score to 3-0.

Çağdaş Altay officiated the match, with assistant referees Bersan Duran and Selim Şenöz on duty. Erzurumspor FK was led by manager Serkan Özbalta, while Okan Buruk was in charge of Galatasaray.
