Galatasaray Presidential Candidate Süheyl Batum made statements regarding the brawl that occurred after the match in which the yellow-red team was defeated 1-0 by Fenerbahçe.
Speaking to veteran journalist Tuncay Mollaveisoğlu in the 12punto studio, Süheyl Batum reacted to the president of the yellow-navy club, Ali Koç, with the words, "The many zeros in your bank accounts cannot measure up to the greatness of Galatasaray".
Batum also responded to Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç's words, 'We showed the dishonorable, the unscrupulous, the thieves, and the lowlifes who the real champion is,' as follows:
"Ali Koç, who are you? You may have a lot of money in your safe. Furthermore, you may be the grandson of Vehbi Koç, but you cannot say these things to this community"
'FOOTBALL HAS NO LAW'
Stating that he spent the whole night sleepless, Batum said, "By saying, 'Ali Koç, we taught the dishonorable and the unscrupulous a lesson,' he has insulted the Galatasaray community. There is no law in football in Turkey. When that is the case, the void there is filled by politics, the mafia, and money".
Galatasaray Club Presidential Candidate Süheyl Batum filed a criminal complaint against the president of the yellow-navy club, Ali Koç, regarding the events that took place after the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby held in the 37th week of the Trendyol Super League.
Making a statement in front of the Istanbul Courthouse with his candidate board members, Süheyl Batum said, "We have filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match played last night against Ali Koç and those involved. As a requirement of the rule of law, we have exercised our freedom to seek justice.
We will follow the legal process to the end against Ali Koç and those who carried out this heinous attack. Galatasaray is not a club that can be easily touched. Galatasaray is never without an owner."
