Vinicius Junior testifies in case regarding racist abuse
Brazilian star footballer Vinicius Junior, who plays for Real Madrid in Spain's top football league (La Liga), has testified in the case regarding the racist abuse he was subjected to during a match.

Vinicius, who was subjected to racist chants from the stands during the match played on May 21 when Real Madrid visited Valencia, attended the hearing in Madrid. In the case, three Valencia fans aged between 18 and 21 are being tried without arrest.
According to reports in the Spanish press, Vinicius emphasized in his testimony that he felt "humiliated and his dignity was offended" due to the chants from the stands during the match. The 23-year-old player, noting that he was subjected to racist chants from all sections of the stands during the match, also stated that he would not accept an apology made on behalf of the public.
Vinicius Junior's teammate Eder Militao will also testify as a witness in the same case on November 23.
Meanwhile, Valencia Club, which issued a written statement following the hearing, stated that Vinicius Junior's testimony was met with surprise, adding, "We do not accept these statements. As head coach Carlo Ancelotti also said previously, such behavior cannot be generalized to all fans in the stadium."
