The match in the 19th week of the Süper Lig, where Galatasaray won 2-1 away against Başakşehir, has become a hot topic due to controversial incidents.

Both the Galatasaray and Başakşehir camps reacted to referee Atilla Karaoğlan and the VAR management. The yellow-reds had a penalty claim in one incident, while Başakşehir objected to fouls and handballs before the goals scored by their opponent. While social media spent the whole night discussing these controversial positions, the first statement after the match came from Galatasaray Second President Metin Öztürk.

Evaluating the match and making references to Fenerbahçe, Metin Öztürk used expressions that would create a stir:

'LET THEM WEAR THEIR FAKE STARS'

"They will do their best to push their second team in tomorrow's match. Let some continue to wear fake stars; Galatasaray will wear the real 5 stars in May! We will be champions in May. They continue to wear fake stars. I have a suggestion. 1907 is their founding year. Let them wear 7 stars. At least they would have some flair."

'WE BECAME CHAMPIONS WITH FOREIGN VAR'

"They are trying to block Galatasaray's path! They gave penalties to our stands. Today, there was a referee on the field trying to prevent us from playing. There was a notorious VAR. We had a penalty that wasn't given! We are looking ahead. We became champions last year with a foreign VAR as well. Whatever the decision, Galatasaray will definitely be the champion in May."

'THEY ARE TRYING TO BLOCK GALATASARAY'

"We had previously invited the TFF to resign. Our insistence continues. We contributed to their election. We are sad. We were deceived. You see, they make a decision regarding team spending limits. They see that it doesn't suit someone's interests. Who could the limit problem have bothered? One needs to look a bit carefully. They are trying to block Galatasaray's path in every way."

RESPONSE FROM FENERBAHÇE DID NOT TAKE LONG

Following the match where Galatasaray defeated Başakşehir 2-1 with goals from Barış Alper Yılmaz, a statement also came from Fenerbahçe.

The following statements were included in the post made by the yellow-navy club's social media account:

"ANOTHER MATCH GIFTED TO THE GALATASARAY TEAM

Another match has been played that was gifted to those for whom all rules are ignored with unlimited tolerance!

The shameless continue to be protected, looked after, and favored;

The brazen thief is doing everything in their power to suppress the homeowner!

To end this disgrace that continues without recognizing any rivals, we call on the Turkish Football Federation and all those responsible to stop their instructed referees."
