Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Legal Advisor Attorney Tarkan Erdal stated that the reports circulating on social media today, which claimed that "if the TFF does not respond to the clubs' demand for an election, a trustee will be appointed to the TFF as it was in 2008," do not reflect the truth and that the public is being deliberately misinformed.

Speaking to an AA reporter, Erdal emphasized that the situation in 2008 was carried out entirely through a temporary article, stating, "As the name suggests, it is a 'Temporary Article,' meaning it happened that year and ended. There is no such thing as a trustee in the law anymore. Some people are intentionally trying to misinform the public."
