The Women's National Football Team is preparing to face Kosovo away on Friday, October 24, in the UEFA Women's Nations League B play-out stage, followed by the second leg at Gürsel Aksel Stadium in İzmir on Tuesday evening, October 28. Head coach Necla Güngör Kıragası emphasized the competitive identity of her team, which finished third in its group, and shared her expectations with these words: “In all the matches we played in League B, we presented a team that fought until the very last minute. Now it is time for us to take another very important step against Kosovo. As always, I trust my players completely. We want to impose our own game on the opponent in the first match and get a good result. In İzmir, with the great support of our fans, we will reach our goal and continue our journey from where we left off. May our training camp be successful.”

A mandatory change was made to the national team squad ahead of the challenging Kosovo tie. Cansu Nur Kaya, who plays for Fatih Vatan Spor, had to leave the pitch after suffering an injury during the league match played against ABB Fomget G.S.K. on October 15. Following checks on Cansu, who had joined the national team camp, a hamstring tear was detected. After a detailed examination by the medical team, the experienced footballer was removed from the squad, reducing the number of players to 24.

ANTI-DOPING TRAINING FOR THE TEAM

Before the important matches, the Women's National Team also received awareness training on doping. In the training organized by the Turkish Football Federation's Anti-Doping Commission, team doctor Ceylan Köksal provided information to the players on topics such as “What is doping, the prohibited list, what footballers should pay attention to in order to protect themselves from doping, rule violations in the fight against doping, and the risks of ergogenic support products.” At the end of the training, doping control procedures were explained in detail.

The Women's National Football Team aims to overcome the Kosovo hurdle with the support of its fans in İzmir and continue its journey in the league.
