If the A National Football Team, which will compete in the play-off round, qualifies for the FIFA 2026 World Cup, their opponents will also be determined following this draw.
Approximately 2 million tickets have been sold so far for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The stadiums and kick-off times for the matches will be announced on Saturday following the draw.
So far, 42 countries have guaranteed their participation in the World Cup, which will feature 48 countries for the first time.

The A National Football Team, which will compete in the play-offs, has been paired with Romania in the play-off semi-finals. In this stage, which will be played as a single-leg knockout, if the national team eliminates Romania at home, they will face the winner of the Slovakia-Kosovo match away in the final to qualify for the tournament. The semi-final matches will be played on March 26, 2026, and the final matches on March 31, 2026.
If Turkey passes the play-off round, they will be placed in Pot 4 for the World Cup.
While hosts Canada, Mexico, and the USA are in Pot 1, the remaining 39 countries have been placed into four pots of 12 teams each based on their country ranking.
According to the FIFA rankings, two separate paths have been determined for the semi-finals, ensuring that the first-ranked team (Spain) and the second-ranked team (Argentina), as well as the third (France) and fourth (England) teams, do not meet before the final.
No group will include more than one team from the same confederation. This rule will apply to all confederations except UEFA, which is represented by 16 teams. Each group will contain at least one and at most two UEFA teams.
