Samsunspor Club President Yüksel Yıldırım stated in his post-match remarks following their 3-2 loss to Galatasaray that he was saddened by the inability to secure a win despite his team's strong performance. Yıldırım also announced that the transfer window will not be opened during the mid-season.

Samsunspor Club President Yüksel Yıldırım expressed his deep sadness over the 3-2 defeat following the match against Galatasaray in the 12th week of the Süper Lig, despite the performance his team displayed.
''TODAY THEY SAW THE QUALITY OF SAMSUNSPOR''
Speaking to members of the press after the match played at Rams Park, President Yıldırım said, "Today, all of Turkey saw what kind of team Samsunspor is. We said we came to Istanbul to take a point or points. Galatasaray started the match very ambitiously and found the first goal. After that, we started to resist and established balance. We started the second half magnificently and equalized. We conceded a goal immediately afterward. We pushed hard to equalize again. In my opinion, there was a foul on Satka, and then Batshuayi scored the third goal. A penalty was awarded via VAR, and it became 3-2. We found positions for 3-3, but unfortunately, we couldn't score because we acted a bit selfishly. I am incredibly sad. We played well. We could have finished this match in a draw. Today, the ball didn't love us."
HE ALWAYS USED HIS DISCRETIONARY POWERS IN FAVOR OF GALATASARAY
Stating that the match referee Halil Umut Meler did not influence the game, Yıldırım expressed that the referee generally used his discretionary powers in favor of Galatasaray. Yıldırım said, "He always used his discretionary powers in favor of Galatasaray. These are not excuses. It was a beautiful match. All of Turkey watched a beautiful match. I am happy in terms of the game, but unhappy in terms of the result. We did what was necessary on the field, but it wasn't enough for points. I congratulate Galatasaray. I also congratulate the Samsunspor players for their struggle."
''WE WILL NOT OPEN THE TRANSFER WINDOW''
Yıldırım announced that they will not open the transfer window during the mid-season. Stating that they have been in talks with FIFA and that the decision has been made, Yıldırım said, "I will not make a move to open the transfer window in the mid-season. We talked to FIFA a lot. We were told that there would be no change. We had to accept this. We do not have a file or a penalty at FIFA. Samsunspor is one of the cleanest clubs at FIFA. We are the only club with no debt." Despite the transfer ban, Yıldırım stated that the team is composed of players with character, saying, "Our window is closed, but we are playing with a group of very high-character players."
The Samsunspor President also responded to a question regarding their last two coaching choices being German managers. Yıldırım said, "I will continue with a German coach from now on. I love German football. It is perfect in every way. The German school will continue at Samsunspor. We have goals. Turkey is slowly getting to know Samsunspor. We are on the way to becoming an old legendary club. If a few more teams like us emerge from Anatolia, the quality of matches against the 'Big Four' will increase."
Stating that they are hopeful about the future and goals of Samsunspor, Yıldırım said, "We want to break the 'Big Four' in Turkey. We need to change this. Otherwise, Turkish football will not develop. It would be a pity."
