Zeynep Yetgil wins bronze at European Championships

National wrestler Zeynep Yetgil won a bronze medal in the women's 53kg category at the European Wrestling Championships held in Romania.

In the event held in the capital Bucharest, Zeynep Yetgil in the women's 53kg, Elvira Kamaloğlu in the 57kg, and Kadriye Aksoy in the 65kg categories earned the right to compete for bronze medals after winning their respective repechage matches.

Zeynep Yetgil defeated Sztalvira Orsus of Hungary 3-1 in the 53kg category to win the bronze medal and finish third in Europe.

National athlete Elvira Kamaloğlu was defeated 10-6 by Solomiia Vynnyk of Ukraine in the 57kg bronze medal match.

Another national athlete, Kadriye Aksoy, lost 10-4 to Irina Ringaci of Moldova in her bronze medal match.
