Following the rise in interest from Turkish tourists in Moscow, the city's official tourism portal, Discover Moscow, has been launched with a Turkish language option. The new version, announced by the Moscow Tourism Committee, aims to provide visitors planning trips from Turkey with information about the city in Turkish.

According to committee data, Moscow hosted more than 75 thousand Turkish tourists in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, the number of visitors from Turkey reached 18 thousand 500, an 8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Moscow is expanding its city promotion services for visitors from Turkey.

The Turkish portal, accessible at https://discover.moscow/tr, includes information on tourist attractions, cultural routes, parks, events, restaurants, shopping districts, and family-friendly experiences. The platform is designed to make it easier for visitors to create itineraries before traveling to the city and to access up-to-date recommendations during their stay.

A TURKISH GUIDE FOR TRAVEL PLANNING

The Turkish version of Discover Moscow aims to consolidate reliable travel information, seasonal recommendations, practical planning tools, and tips into a single channel. This is intended to help Turkish-speaking guests explore Moscow through both classic sightseeing routes and current city experiences.

The portal offers information in Turkish about Moscow's iconic landmarks and cultural routes.

The relatively fast visa process also plays a role in Moscow standing out for visitors from Turkey. Turkish citizens can apply for an e-visa without the need for an invitation or confirmation document. The application process is conducted entirely online, and it is stated that procedures are completed within four days.

In terms of transportation, the intensive flight network between the two countries is notable. More than 200 regular direct flights are operated weekly by various airlines between Turkey's major cities and Moscow. This network makes the Russian capital one of the more accessible destinations for Turkish visitors.

SUMMER SEASON AND OUTDOOR EVENTS

During the summer, Moscow stands out with its historical structures, green spaces, gastronomic options, shopping routes, and cultural events. In addition to iconic spots such as Red Square, the Kremlin, and VDNKh, outdoor cafes, embankments, and contemporary cultural spaces are highlighted as part of the visitor experience.

Moscow is targeting visitors in the summer season with family-friendly experiences and city activities.

The "Summer in Moscow" project, carried out in the city during the summer season, brings concerts, performances, workshops, gastronomic areas, flower installations, and family events to parks, streets, and public spaces. The project, which covers more than 500 venues across the city, aims to offer visitors a Moscow experience beyond classic tourist routes.
