According to recent global research, the countries preferred by international travelers have been ranked once again. The compiled data reveals that the increase in the number of tourists passing through border crossings has brought certain countries to the forefront.

The announced list features the top 10 countries that host the most travelers globally. Countries that stand out with both their cultural fabric and natural beauty continue to attract millions of visitors. There was no change in the leadership of the list this year.

France tops the list with 100 million visitors. Spain follows closely behind with 94 million tourists. While the USA ranks third with 72.4 million visitors, fourth place went to Italy, which hosted 68.5 million visitors. Turkey maintained its fifth-place position this year with 52.6 million visitors, continuing its rising popularity in the Mediterranean basin in recent years.

Mexico took sixth place with 45 million visitors. It was followed by Hong Kong with 44.5 million tourists, the United Kingdom with 41.2 million visitors, Greece with 40.7 million, and Japan with 36.9 million tourists, respectively.

Furthermore, it is noted that Greece and Japan, which are lower on the list, have begun to stand out thanks to rising demand and intense interest, particularly in the Asian market. The growing interest in Far East routes, in particular, contributes to the daily growth of tourism data in the region.

In Europe, Mediterranean countries, led by France and Spain, maintain their appeal with their deep-rooted cultures and developed tourism infrastructures. Turkey, meanwhile, is strengthening its claim in the region with its vast historical heritage and increasing tourism investments. Looking at global travel data, it is evident that activity in the Mediterranean basin and Asia is steadily increasing.
