Tickets for the 2025-2026 winter season of the Touristic Eastern Express will go on sale tomorrow. The trips on the Ankara-Kars line will begin on December 22 and continue until March 1, 2026.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that tickets for the new season of the Touristic Eastern Express will go on sale starting tomorrow. The trips planned for the 2025-2026 winter season will begin on December 22 and continue until March 1, 2026. A total of 60 trips will be organized on the Ankara-Kars line.

Providing detailed information about the train's route, Minister Uraloğlu said, "On the Ankara-Kars direction, there will be a 2-hour and 30-minute stop in Erzincan and a 4-hour stop in Erzurum; on the return trip, there will be a 3-hour stop in İliç, a 2-hour and 30-minute stop in Divriği, and a 3-hour stop in Sivas." This 1,360-kilometer journey will offer views filled with snow-covered mountains and historical structures.

TICKET SALES FOR THE NEW SEASON

The train consists of 8 sleeping cars, each with 10 compartments, and one dining car, with a total capacity of 160 passengers. Two people can stay in the sleeping compartments. Tickets will be offered for sale in two ways: as individual tickets and as tour packages. Ticket sales for individual passengers will begin on Monday, October 27, and can be purchased through the sales channels of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Taşımacılık. Tour packages will be offered for sale through authorized agencies.

Uraloğlu stated that the Touristic Eastern Express has become one of Turkey's most special tourism brands, having carried 81 thousand 26 passengers since 2019.
