The final stage has been reached in the process for Bingöl honey to receive European Union (EU) geographical indication registration.

The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT) shared a post on its social media account regarding the matter.
In the post, the institution stated that the final stage has been reached for Bingöl honey, for which an EU registration application was filed as part of the "International Geographical Indication Mobilization," noting: "Bingöl honey, whose application was found suitable by the EU Commission, was published in the Official Journal of the EU today. It will be registered after the three-month objection period expires."
