Things to Consider When Choosing an Electric Heater
Electric heaters, used for heating needs during the winter months, stand out as a heating method that provides comfort and savings. However, not every electric heater on the market meets these criteria. So, what should you pay attention to when buying an electric heater?

One of the most important ways to increase efficiency in electric heaters is to use a halogen bulb. A halogen bulb converts 99 percent of the electrical energy it consumes into heat.
In this way, it provides 40 percent more efficient heating compared to standard resistance electric heaters.
SHORT-WAVE RADIATION PROVIDES EFFECTIVE HEATING
The radiation used in heaters is divided into three categories: "short-wave," "medium-wave," and "long-wave."
Heaters that emit short-wave radiation are superior to the other two categories in terms of their ability to transmit radiation. As a result, more effective heating is achieved with a lower-capacity heater.
The resistance and quartz tube combination frequently encountered in heaters on the market is not suitable for reaching high temperatures and providing savings. This combination is suitable for products that have a filament temperature of 1400°C and emit medium-wave radiation.
For this reason, for high efficiency, it is necessary to prefer devices that emit short-wave radiation using bulb technology containing halogen filler gas.
Other points to consider when choosing an electric heater are as follows:
- The heater should be suitable for the size of the area of use.
- The heater should comply with safety standards.
- The heater should be easy to use.
