1 person arrested in connection with forest fire in İzmir

One of the 2 suspects detained in connection with the forest fire that broke out in a wooded area in the Menderes district of İzmir has been arrested, while 1 person was released under judicial control.

The procedures for the 2 suspects detained by gendarmerie teams regarding the fire that broke out in the wooded area in the Karacadağ locality have been completed.

One of the suspects referred to the courthouse was arrested by the judgeship, while the other was released under judicial control.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

The fire that broke out in a wooded area in the Karacadağ locality of Menderes district on June 29 was brought under control a day later as a result of the intensive intervention of the teams.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı had announced that the forest fire in Menderes started in a hobby garden in the region and that the individuals involved had been taken into custody.
