100 percent price hike for İSBİKE

A 100 percent price hike has been implemented for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's (İBB) Smart Bicycle Rental System (İSBİKE).

The third session of the İBB Council for June was held at the municipal building in Saraçhane, chaired by the 1st Deputy Speaker of the Council, Nuri Aslan.

During the council meeting, the proposal to increase İSBİKE fees was discussed. The proposal requested that the annual bicycle rental fee be increased by 100 percent, from 574 Turkish Liras to 1148 Turkish Liras.

For hourly bicycle rentals, it was requested that the 1-hour fee be increased from 22 Turkish Liras to 44 Turkish Liras, the 1-2 hour fee from 31 Turkish Liras to 62 Turkish Liras, and the 2-3 hour fee from 44 Turkish Liras to 88 Turkish Liras.

While the decision was accepted by the İBB Council, it was stated that the new tariff will go into effect after being approved.
