12-year-old child dies after suffering a heart attack
A 12-year-old student who suffered a heart attack in Malatya has died at the hospital where she was taken.

The incident occurred in the morning hours at Kemal Özalper Secondary School in the Battalgazi district. According to reports, 7th-grade student Sude D. suddenly fell ill in the classroom during recess. Upon notification, medical teams were dispatched to the school, and Sude D., who was determined to have suffered a heart attack, was taken to Malatya Training and Research Hospital following initial intervention.
Despite all efforts at the hospital, Sude D. could not be saved. Deputy Governor Ali Açıkgöz and Battalgazi District Governor Erkan Savar, who arrived at the hospital, received information from officials, while S.D.'s body was moved to the City Cemetery Morgue for burial following the necessary procedures.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
