26 cats perish in fire at 2-story house in Sivas
In a fire that broke out in a 2-story house in Sivas, 26 cats lost their lives, while 10 cats were rescued through the intervention of fire crews.

A fire broke out in a 2-story house located on 8th Street in the Çarşıbaşı neighborhood of Sivas. Upon notification by citizens who noticed the flames, Sivas Municipality fire crews were dispatched to the area. With the rapid intervention of the teams, the fire was brought under control in a short time.
Firefighters entering the building determined that there were a large number of cats inside. It was determined that 26 cats affected by smoke had lost their lives, while 10 cats were rescued alive. The injured cats were handed over to a volunteer veterinarian for treatment.
It was alleged that the cats in the burning house were being cared for by an animal lover named N.H. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
