27-year-old man swept away by current in the Bosphorus! Suddenly disappeared from sight...

Barış Can Karaman, 27, who entered the sea at the Ortaköy coast in Beşiktaş, was caught in a strong current near a bridge pier and disappeared from sight. 

The incident occurred in the morning hours. Eyewitnesses reported that Karaman was quickly swept away by the current and notified the Coast Guard and Marine Police teams. Numerous search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area, and a search operation was launched both on the surface and underwater.

According to the information obtained, the 27-year-old, who had completed his military service about a month ago, was working as a lifeguard on the coast in the area.

The search efforts have been planned to continue throughout the day. Teams have intensified search activities near the shore with boats and in the underwater area with divers. Karaman's family and relatives are anxiously following the developments at the Ortaköy coast.
