4 people had been arrested: Footage of the family feud in İzmir that left 1 dead has emerged

Security camera footage has emerged regarding a family feud in the Bayraklı district of İzmir that resulted in 1 death and 2 injuries. As part of the investigation, 9 people were detained, and 4 suspects were arrested.

An armed attack took place in front of a business owned by H.E. in the Çay neighborhood of İzmir's Bayraklı district on the evening of November 11 at around 20:15. According to information obtained, the suspects approached the business by vehicle and opened fire. The bullets struck the business owner H.E., his son S.E., and S.D. and Y.D., who were present as customers.

While the attackers fled the scene by vehicle immediately after the incident, citizens in the vicinity notified the police and medical teams. Upon arriving at the scene, the teams determined that H.E. was critically injured, while S.E., S.D., and Y.D. had sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies.

Critically injured H.E. was taken to İzmir City Hospital but could not be saved despite all medical interventions. It was learned that S.E., one of the injured receiving treatment at Ege University Hospital, remains in critical condition.

THE ALTERCATION WAS RECORDED MOMENT BY MOMENT

In the security camera footage that emerged after the incident, it was seen that the suspects, who arrived in the area in two commercial vehicles, headed toward the business with guns and knives. The recordings also captured the moments of the altercation and the suspects' rapid departure from the scene.

 

4 PEOPLE ARRESTED

As a result of the joint work carried out by the Public Security Branch Directorate's Homicide Bureau, Crime Analysis Bureau, and Intelligence Branch Directorate, D.D. (72), E.D. (39), M.D. (43), A.D. (41), N.D. (34), B.D. (19), S.D. (17), and E.E. (25), who were determined to be involved in the incident, were apprehended.

Investigations revealed that the parties were relatives and that the attack stemmed from a family dispute.

Suspect E.E. was released after giving a statement. While M.D., N.D., B.D., and S.D. were arrested after being referred to the courthouse, D.D., A.D., and E.D. were released under judicial control conditions.
