67 quarter gold coins found on woman begging in front of hospital
An elderly woman begging by exploiting the emotions of citizens in Esenyurt was found to be carrying 67 quarter gold coins, worth approximately 625 thousand liras, along with a large amount of cash.

Esenyurt Municipality Police Department teams, in cooperation with the police, continue their inspections targeting beggars. Most recently, an elderly woman spotted collecting money from citizens in front of Esenyurt State Hospital was followed by municipal police teams due to her suspicious behavior.
Following the surveillance, the woman was taken into custody with police support and brought to the police station for a body search. As a result of the search, 67 quarter gold coins and a large amount of cash were found on her. The cash and gold coins found on the woman, who was engaged in begging, were recorded in an official report, and an administrative fine was imposed.
"INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE"
Esenyurt Deputy Mayor Can Aksoy stated that begging activities are not only against the law but are also carried out in an organized manner by some individuals to obtain large amounts of illicit gain. Emphasizing that citizens should be careful against those who abuse their religious and humanitarian feelings, Aksoy announced that inspections will continue to increase in order to prevent similar incidents in the district.
