New information has been reached within the scope of the investigation into the knife attack that occurred at Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Secondary School in Kayaşehir, Başakşehir, Istanbul. According to reports by Habertürk, it was revealed that the female student identified as the perpetrator of the attack does not attend the school where the incident took place.
It was determined that the girl, who is a 10th-grade student, attends a different Anatolian high school and arrived at the school where the attack occurred wearing her own school uniform. It was established that the student had taken a knife with her when she left home.
8 STUDENTS INJURED
The student, who arrived at the school in the morning, attacked students with a knife for reasons yet to be determined. 8 students were injured in the incident.
Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The injured students were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance after receiving initial intervention at the scene.
3 STUDENTS IN CRITICAL CONDITION
It was learned that 3 of the 8 students receiving treatment in hospitals are in critical condition.
It was reported that the judicial proceedings for the female student identified as the perpetrator of the attack are ongoing.
REASON FOR THE ATTACK UNDER INVESTIGATION
Police teams are continuing their investigation to determine why the student, who attends another school, came to Şeyh Şamil İmam Hatip Secondary School.
In order to uncover the motive behind the attack, the student's connections and the events leading up to the incident are also being examined. In the initial investigation regarding her family, it was learned that her mother is a housewife.
It was learned that most of the 8 students injured by the suspect F.M. are 10 and 11 years old. According to the suspect's mother's initial statement, she mentioned that her daughter has a social anxiety disorder.
