Following Turkcell, Vodafone, and Türk Telekom, which serve 92.2 million mobile subscribers in Turkey, TÜRKSAT is preparing to enter the sector as a mobile operator.
According to information reported by journalist Olcay Aydilek, the draft law prepared for the restructuring of TÜRKSAT is becoming clear. With this change, TÜRKSAT will separate its cable and broadcasting services and will also operate in the field of mobile communications.
TÜRKSAT, which is among the companies affiliated with the Turkey Wealth Fund under the administration of AKP President Erdoğan, will enter the market as a new mobile operator. The controlling shares of the company will be held by the Turkey Wealth Fund, as is the case with Turkcell and Türk Telekom.
