According to the latest meteorological forecasts, desert dust transport originating from Libya has begun to affect Turkey throughout the day. Experts point out that this dust cloud could negatively impact daily life, especially in Istanbul, during the evening hours.

In a statement from experts, it was noted, "As a result of the desert dust combining with expected precipitation, mud deposits will form on the ground surface. Citizens are advised not to wash their vehicles or clean their windows." A similar warning was shared by Hava Forum, stating that dust particles could lead to a significant increase in pollution levels.

WIND AND HEAVY RAIN ALERT FOR THE EVENING HOURS

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has issued a call for caution, providing a timeline for the sudden weather change expected to begin in the evening. According to the report, the spring-like weather felt in the first part of the day will give way to heavy downpours and wind in the evening. Winds across the city are expected to blow from the north, reaching speeds of 40 to 75 kilometers per hour.

Authorities strongly advise citizens to closely follow weather updates and comply with the measures taken.
