The ANKA III unmanned aerial vehicle, developed within the Turkish defense industry, has conducted a formation flight with HÜRJET, Turkey's first jet-powered supersonic trainer aircraft.

Turkish Aerospace Industries shared images and information regarding the formation flight of ANKA III with HÜRJET on X. According to the post, ANKA III completed its 8th sortie, while HÜRJET completed its 66th.

THEY FLEW AT 7,000 FEET

The formation flight of ANKA III and HÜRJET lasted 50 minutes. The flight was carried out at an altitude of 7,000 feet at a speed of 165 knots.

Development work on ANKA III, which takes unmanned aerial vehicle capabilities in the Turkish defense industry to a new level, began in 2022. Turkish Aerospace Industries continues development and testing activities for ANKA III, which performed its maiden flight on December 28, 2023.

In the future, the goal is to control unmanned combat aircraft from manned aircraft. In this context, HÜRJET flying with ANKA III is of great importance.
