Another forest fire breaks out in Diyarbakır!
A fire broke out for an as-yet undetermined reason at the Bedro Plateau, located in the rural Karasungur neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Çınar district.

Upon notification, AFAD, the Forestry Directorate, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. Teams are continuing their intervention in the fire, which is also being supported from the air by a helicopter. Local citizens are also assisting in the firefighting efforts.
Çınar District Governor Muhammed Fatih Günlü, who arrived at the scene, told an AA reporter that teams are intervening in the fire from the ground and by helicopter from the air, and that the fire is close to being brought under control.
Günlü stated, "This year is proving difficult. The decrease in humidity and the height of the grass in the fields bring with them the struggle against fires. Hopefully, we are trying to control the fire without any loss of life. Our citizens are engaged in beekeeping in the area where the fire broke out."
