Armed attack on Yalova Social Security Institution lawyer
A dispute over an enforcement proceeding at the Social Security Institution (SGK) building in Yalova escalated into an armed attack. The institution's lawyer was shot and seriously injured.

An armed attack occurred at the Yalova Social Security Institution (SGK) building. H.H. (57), who arrived at the directorate located on Şehit Ömer Faydalı Street, began a meeting with the institution's lawyer, Zekeriya Polat (31), regarding an enforcement file being processed against him.
The discussion between the parties escalated into a dispute in a short time. As the argument intensified, H.H. opened fire with a handgun he had with him, wounding lawyer Polat. Seriously injured, Polat was taken to a private hospital by an ambulance called to the scene.
The suspect, H.H., surrendered to police teams dispatched to the area following the attack and was taken into custody, while it was reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
