Bodrum succumbs to heavy downpour: Homes flooded
Due to the heavy rainfall in the Bodrum district of Muğla, homes were flooded, some vehicles were stranded on the roads, and one car was swept away by floodwaters.

The downpour that began in the evening hours in Bodrum intensified during the night. The heavy rain caused flooding in the neighborhoods of Turgutreis, İslamhaneleri, Yalıkavak, Akyarlar, and Ortakent-Yahşi.
In the Turgutreis-İslamhaneleri area, floodwaters blocked the ring road due to the rising water level of a creek. Teams worked with heavy machinery to clear the road.
In the Akçaalan neighborhood of Turgutreis, some homes were also submerged. Citizens whose belongings were left underwater requested help from the authorities.
In the Kemer area of Akyarlar, the road was also blocked by floodwaters; a municipal vehicle became stranded on the road, and a car was swept away by the flood. Two people trapped inside the municipal vehicle were rescued with the help of heavy machinery.
Meanwhile, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci and his accompanying delegation inspected the damaged areas and met with citizens.
In a statement to reporters, Mandalinci noted that the district was experiencing difficulties in many locations due to the severe rainfall and stated that they were conducting operations with numerous teams.
