Bus and truck collide in Amasya: Many injured
11 people were injured in a traffic accident in Amasya involving a passenger bus and a truck. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance for treatment.

A traffic accident involving a passenger bus and a truck occurred near the Merzifon district of Amasya. The collision took place on the Merzifon–Samsun highway near the village of Kayadüzü.
The passenger bus with license plate 06 FTD 788, belonging to Metro Turizm and driven by Engin F., which was traveling from Ankara towards Ordu, rear-ended a truck with license plate 16 R 7736, driven by Murat Ç., who was en route from Bursa to Trabzon, for reasons yet to be determined.
Due to the impact, several people were injured on the bus, which was carrying 44 passengers. Upon notification by citizens who witnessed the incident, numerous health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. The 11 injured, who received initial medical intervention at the scene, were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
While police and gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation at the scene, truck driver Murat Ç. described the incident with the following words:
“I didn't even hear the sound of brakes. I was driving along my route and signaled to the right. I was going to enter the gas station. He came from behind and hit me.”
