Business selling lahmacun for 50 liras reported: No irregularities found in inspections

Selahattin Yabalı, who has been operating in the food sector in Sivas for 15 years, has faced constant trouble since launching a campaign three years ago to sell affordable lahmacun. Despite being repeatedly reported by unidentified individuals and undergoing successive inspections where no irregularities were found, Yabalı continues his campaign, ignoring the ongoing complaints.

SELLING LAHMACUN FOR 50 TL EACH

Stating that he owns the business premises and does not pay rent, Yabalı said, "I have been serving in the restaurant sector for about 15 years. With the campaign we started 3 years ago, we offer our citizens quality and cheap products. But we are victims because we have been constantly reported recently. We think the complaints stem from our colleagues. While lahmacun is currently sold for 200-300 TL in most places, we sell it for 50 TL. They have complained to CİMER, claiming we sell it too cheaply, sell horse meat, or do not have a menu. But we buy all the products we use from places that provide invoices, and we use quality materials. We stand behind the products we sell, and all the places we shop from are well-known. Anyone who wants to can come and check our workplace, and they can taste our products with peace of mind. We also make a profit. If I can earn this way, I don't know why others cannot. While we are trying to help people by serving the public, I leave those who run smear campaigns against us to their own consciences."
