Teams from the Adana Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Crimes Branch received information that truck driver C.Ş. (42) was bringing a large quantity of narcotics into the city. Following this, police teams tracked the truck on the Mersin Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep (TAG) Highway, stopped the vehicle, and conducted a search.

During the detailed search of the truck, a narcotics detector dog reacted to certain suitcases. When the 3 suitcases removed from the vehicle were opened, 55 kilograms of skunk were found inside. It was stated that the market value of the seized drugs is approximately 80 million liras.

The detained driver, C.Ş., said in his statement at the police station, "They were my friend's suitcases; he asked, 'Could you take these to Adana?' Since it was the first time he had made such a request, I couldn't refuse. The drugs have nothing to do with me."

After his procedures at the police station, C.Ş. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court on charges of "drug trafficking."
