Chain-reaction accident on TEM

A chain-reaction traffic accident involving 8 vehicles occurred this morning on the TEM Highway at the Ümraniye-Fatih Sultan Mehmet (FSM) Bridge junction. While the accident caused long queues of vehicles in the area, fortunately, no one was injured.

The incident occurred around 06:20 this morning in the Ümraniye section of the TEM Highway. According to the information obtained, 8 vehicles heading toward the FSM Bridge junction were involved in a chain-reaction accident for reasons yet to be determined.

Upon notification, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Checks conducted after the accident confirmed that there were no deaths or injuries. However, because the accident coincided with the morning commute, traffic on the TEM toward Edirne came to a standstill.

Long queues of vehicles formed on the TEM Highway while efforts were underway to remove the vehicles involved in the accident from the road.

Police teams took security measures to prevent further accidents on the highway and managed the flow of traffic in a controlled manner.

Traffic flow returned to normal after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the scene with the help of tow trucks.

Police teams have launched an investigation into the accident.
