3.9-MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE IN MERSIN
A frightening 3.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Toroslar district of Mersin. AFAD announced the earthquake as a breaking news update. The quake occurred at a depth of 12 kilometers. Citizens were frightened, and many took to the streets in Mersin due to the tremor.

Earth scientist and earthquake expert Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made striking statements regarding the expected major earthquake in Marmara following the recent tremors.
Görür stated, "A shallow 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea. The earthquake is located on the North Anatolian Fault (NAF) zone within the Aegean Sea. We are expecting the Marmara earthquake on the continuation of this zone within the Sea of Marmara. Tension continues in the region."
