Deadline for old-style driver's licenses announced
The Ministry of Interior has issued an important warning to citizens using old-style driver's licenses. It was announced that these licenses will become invalid if an application is not made by October 31.

The deadline for old-style driver's licenses is approaching. Licenses of drivers who do not complete the renewal process by October 31 will become invalid.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior reminded that old-style driver's licenses can be renewed for only 15 TL until October 31, 2025. It was announced that there will be significant increases in fees after this date.
According to the ministry's statement, the renewal fee for a Class B driver's license will be 7 thousand 438 lira and 60 kuruş.
The new fees determined for other classes are as follows:
Class A, A1, A2, and F licenses: 3 thousand 643 TL
Class B1, BE, C1, CIE, C, CE, DI, DIE, D, DE, G, and M licenses: 11 thousand 235 TL
HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments for driver's license renewal can be made via the Alo 199 Call Center, the NVI mobile application, or the nvi.gov.tr website.
The documents required to be submitted during the application were announced as follows:
OLD DRIVER'S LICENSE
Driver's health report obtained from an authorized health institution
Biometric photo taken within the last 6 months
Residential address information registered in the MERNIS system
Receipt proving payment of the 15 TL application fee
Renewal procedures are carried out at civil registration offices. New-style driver's licenses are prepared by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs and delivered to the address via PTT. During this process, citizens are issued a temporary driver's license, and it is possible to drive with this document.
WARNING REGARDING CONGESTION
Authorities warned against leaving the process to the final days. Drivers are urged to complete their license renewal procedures without delay to prevent potential congestion at civil registration offices.
