Defense Industry Agency issues statement on 'incentives and grants' for Baykar: 'A malicious campaign...'
The Presidency of Defense Industries, affiliated with the Presidency, issued a statement on social media following discussions regarding trade with Israel and Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar's targeting of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

The Presidency of Defense Industries, affiliated with the Presidency, announced that Baykar, owned and managed by Selçuk Bayraktar, the son-in-law of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has not benefited from investment incentive elements provided by the state.
In the statement, which claimed that a malicious campaign is being conducted against Baykar, it was stated, "Baykar has not benefited from any incentive, grant, or support element."
The SSB issued a statement indicating that Baykar has not benefited from any incentive, grant, or support element.
The statement from the SSB argued that companies operating in the defense industry are being targeted.
STATEMENT ON GRANTS AND SUPPORT
The statement included the following expressions:
"However, we have been following with sadness the content produced for a long time with the aim of disinformation, which directly or indirectly targets the companies operating in our sector in the face of this great success shown, and which casts aspersions on our Presidency and our sector. There are various financial incentive, grant, and support programs provided by our Presidency for our sector. Within the scope of our Defense Industry Investment and Development Activities Support Program, Qualified Product Loan, General Purpose Helicopter Project Investment Loan, Industrial Competence Evaluation and Support Program, Category-C, and Technology Product Acquisition support programs, nearly 6 billion liras in grants and project support have been provided to over 500 companies and over 400 supply projects to date."
The statement noted that Baykar has not applied for any of the aforementioned financial incentive, grant, and support programs, stating, "Baykar has not benefited from any incentive, grant, or support element. We see the malice being carried out against Baykar, one of the important organizations of our sector, which breaks new export records every day and makes significant contributions to our country's economy."
