Draws for the TOKİ lottery begin in 9 new provinces this week

As part of the Housing Project of the Century, the beneficiaries of social housing in 9 more provinces will be determined this week; a total of 45,909 homes will find their new owners.

The lottery draws conducted as part of the social housing project across Turkey are continuing. In the project implemented by the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), the first draw was held on December 29, and to date, draws have been completed in 23 different provinces, including the ceremony held in Erzincan.

In the lottery draws held under the supervision of a notary, the names of the beneficiaries for a total of 75,356 social housing units in Adıyaman, Şırnak, Hakkari, Siirt, Van, Mardin, Ağrı, Batman, Iğdır, Bitlis, Kars, Muş, Ardahan, Antalya, Bingöl, Tunceli, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Artvin, Rize, Erzurum, Malatya, and Erzincan have been determined.

In a statement made on social media, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced the draw schedule that will continue throughout the week of January 19-25 and gave hopeful messages. Kurum stated, "A home means hope, it means the future. This week, we will experience the excitement of the lottery in 9 more of our cities. This week, we will determine the beneficiaries of 45,909 more of our housing units in the Housing Project of the Century and share in the happiness."

According to the lottery calendar, the draw for 13,790 housing units will be held in Şanlıurfa on Monday, January 20.

Following that, the beneficiaries for 3,734 housing units in Trabzon and 3,392 in Tokat will be determined on Wednesday, January 21.

While the owners of 2,601 housing units in Amasya will be identified on Thursday, January 22,

a lottery draw will be held for 7,459 homes in Manisa, 2,380 in Kastamonu, and 3,904 in Sivas on Friday, January 23.

As the end of the week approaches, the beneficiaries for 6,973 housing units in Aydın will be announced on Saturday, January 24, and for 1,676 housing units in Giresun on Sunday, January 25.

By the end of this week, 45,909 new beneficiary families will have access to social housing, bringing the number of provinces where the draws have been completed to 32. Since the start of the project, the new owners of a total of 121,265 social housing units will have been determined.
