Fine issued to taxi driver who refused to take passenger to destination and forced them out
In Istanbul, a taxi driver who forced a passenger out of the vehicle after the passenger objected to being refused a ride to their desired destination has been fined.

Teams from the Traffic Inspection Branch of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department launched an investigation following footage shared on social media showing a passenger being forced out of a taxi after objecting to the driver's refusal to take them to their desired destination.
The teams identified and apprehended the driver, identified as M.Z.O., by tracking the vehicle's license plate information.
The driver was issued a total fine of 2,070 TL for violating articles of the Highway Traffic Law regarding "failure to comply with other rules related to traffic safety and order as specified in the regulation," "driving in a disrespectful manner that disturbs the comfort and peace of the public on highways," and "failure to use a seat belt."
