Fire at a car dealership in Beşiktaş: 15 vehicles worth 100 million reduced to ashes

Flames that broke out in a parked vehicle at a car dealership in Beşiktaş during the night quickly spread to other vehicles. A total of 15 cars were heavily damaged, resulting in millions of liras in losses. Authorities are investigating the possibility of arson.

At around 04:30 in the morning in Beşiktaş, flames erupted from a parked vehicle at a car dealership located on the ground floor of a 4-story building on Barbaros Boulevard in the Balmumcu neighborhood. The flames grew quickly and spread to other vehicles in the dealership.

FLAMES ENGULFED 15 VEHICLES

Upon notification, numerous fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the area. While police teams took security measures in the vicinity and closed the road to traffic, fire crews intervened in the blaze. After approximately one hour of work, the flames were brought under control and completely extinguished following cooling operations. A total of 15 vehicles sustained heavy damage in the incident.

BUILDING ALSO SUSTAINED DAMAGE

Due to the impact of the fire, partial damage also occurred on the exterior of the 4-story building where the car dealership is located. Following the fire, crews also carried out cooling operations in the building. Crime scene investigation teams were also dispatched to the scene to conduct an examination.

POSSIBILITY OF ARSON UNDER INVESTIGATION

It was learned that initial assessments regarding the cause of the fire are focusing on the suspicion of arson. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, which resulted in approximately 100 million liras in damages.
