Fire in container housing workers in Kahramanmaraş
According to initial reports, 1 worker lost their life and 7 workers were injured in a fire that broke out in a 3-story construction site building located in a container city in Kahramanmaraş.

A fire broke out in a 3-story container construction site building within a container city where approximately 450 people reside in the Doğukent neighborhood of the Dulkadiroğlu district in Kahramanmaraş. The flames grew rapidly and engulfed the entire building.
Upon notification, Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality fire crews were dispatched to the scene and intervened in the fire. In the fire, which was brought under control as a result of the crews' intensive efforts, 1 worker lost their life and 7 workers were injured according to initial reports.
While cooling efforts have been initiated in the area following the fire, an investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
