A fire broke out in the hold of a refueling ship at Haydarpaşa Port at around 07:00.
Upon reports from those who saw the smoke, numerous fire, police, medical, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the scene. The flames were brought under control in a short time thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire crews. There were no deaths or injuries in the incident.
While an investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched, cooling and security operations by the teams are ongoing.
